About

Officers supporting officers. Both sides of the badge.

One Badge Foundation was founded by a sergeant who is also a pastor — and who has spent two decades walking between both worlds. This is the work that came out of that walk.

Our founder

Sgt. Bobby Bryan

Bobby Bryan has served as a Tulsa-area police sergeant for more than twenty years. He is also an ordained pastor — a dual vocation that has taken him into the homes of both officers and community members on their hardest nights.

He founded One Badge Foundation because he kept seeing the same gap. The small departments he grew up around — the ones without development offices or reserve funds — were running out of money for the equipment that keeps officers safe and the training that keeps communities safe. He knew the big philanthropy world wasn't going to fix it. So he started the work himself.

One Badge is not political. It is not a PAC. It is a foundation built on a simple belief: good policing and strong community are the same work. When both are funded, both flourish. When either is starved, everyone loses.

Our mission

Why this foundation exists.

The mission is direct: raise funds to provide essential equipment and state-of-the-art training to police departments in smaller communities across the United States — equipping officers with the tools and skills to create time, distance, and better decisions in the moments that matter most.

Because when handled correctly, a citizen’s worst day does not have to become their last.

We are not a policy shop. We are not a national lobbying group. We are a grant-making foundation focused on one under-served slice of American public safety: the small departments that respond first, often with the fewest resources, to the calls most Americans never hear about.

Our values

Four principles. No exceptions.

Dignity

Every officer — and every community member — is a person first. The work begins there.

Practicality

Grants fund gear and training. Not branding, not slogans. Things that make the next shift safer.

Transparency

Every dollar tracked. Every grant reported. Annual 990 published the day it's filed.

Unity

Strong policing and strong community are the same work. We fund both, on the same grant.

Our board

Board of Directors

Five people. Law enforcement, ministry, corporate finance, nonprofit operations, and municipal leadership — every one of them carrying real work on the ground.
